As I announced in my last post I did stop flying F5J and started flying full-size planes again. I never got around to selling my planes though, thinking the urge might come back.... Well, I decided I can fly full-size and still enjoy RC but I needed a new challenge, F5J was fun but maybe it was just too easy?
The solution? Get back into another RC passion from long ago, power flying and specifically F3A pattern! To make a long story short for the last 6 months or so I have been building a collection of planes and practicing aerobatics/pattern. It is a lot of fun but a LOT harder than it was getting back into gliding.
I am hoping to start competing next year (2018) but first I need to see if this rusty pilot will be ready. I am considering starting a new blog centered around F3A flying but with a bit of fun flying and large war birds as well, yes, I am also having fun flying some large WW1/2 planes.
If I do decide to start such a blog I will post the link here.
Thanks for reading this and if you are still gliding, have fun!
SebArt Miss Wind S, pattern fun!
